May 24, 2021 by Filter Coffee

Want to run away from the devastating pandemic and live in one of the safe countries in the world? Is there a country that is considered safe in a pandemic hit world? The answer would be yes. And let’s find out more.

Well, the fight against COVID 19 and its new variants are still being waged in hospitals, health care centers, and clinics in most parts of the world. Why Should Move To Safe Countries During A Pandemic?

There are a few nations that fought against this global pandemic with all seriousness right from the start and have been through the worst of the virus or have succeeded in avoiding it and now their lives are getting back to normal.

Now that the vaccines are available the governments all around the globe are in a race against time to get their entire population vaccinated against this dreaded virus and its mutant variants. However, only a few countries have been successful in administering this vaccine to all their citizens and have more or less won the war against this pandemic.

Things are getting back to normal in a few countries including New Zealand and Singapore where no locally transmitted cases have been reported during April.

List Of Safe Countries In The World

Let’s take a look at the safe countries in the world that can be considered safe to live during this pandemic.

  1. Singapore

Singapore, situated in South East Asia, is now considered to be the best place to live in right now. This is based on a report in Bloomberg. This was one of the countries that observed a strict policy for quarantine right from the beginning of this pandemic. Together with the mass vaccination program against the Coronavirus the country has managed to curb the spread of the COVID 19 virus and its new variants.  With a score of 79.7, Singapore has the top Bloomberg resilience score.

The country has successfully vaccinated one-fifth of its total population to date. Things are back to normal in Singapore and the government has relaxed or removed COVID 19 related curbs in the country.

2. New Zealand

New Zealand the island nation situated on the South-Western part of the Pacific Ocean currently occupies the second position in the list of nations that are the safest amidst this pandemic. The COVID positivity test rate and COVID fatality rate have been Zero in this country during March and April.

3. Australia

Australia occupies the 3rd position in the list of safest countries in the world to live at present. During the past 1 month, only 36 deaths per 1 million have been reported in the country due to COVID 19. Hence the fatality rate stands at a mere 0.2%. The country has a Bloomberg resilience score of 76.2.

4. Israel

Based on Bloomberg’s report, Israel currently stands at the 4th position on the list of countries that are safe to live in right now. This nation has successfully vaccinated almost 57.4% of its total population against COVID 19.

5. Taiwan

No COVID 19 cases have been reported in Taiwan during the past month. This country currently has a positivity rate of just 0.4%. With a Bloomberg resilience score of 74.4, Taiwan occupies 5th place in the list of nations that are safe to live in right now. However, the administration of vaccines against COVID 19 is going at a snail’s pace in this country. Only a mere 0.1% of its total population has been vaccinated so far.

The resurgence of this virus and its new variants are being reported by many nations since the end of March and the beginning of April. India and Brazil are currently two nations that are worst affected by this second wave.
