Of the total visa applications received, over 35,000 were submitted as employer sponsored Green Card applications. Half of the applications processed were for Indian nationals.
Given the new immigration regulations, it will be interesting to see how many applications are approved. The second quarter for 2020 saw an initial approval rate of 87.1%. This marked an increase of almost 4% as compared to the second quarter of 2019.
That said, one must keep in mind the fact that the initial denial rate in 2019 was almost double the rate in 2017. The initial denial rate for 2020’s second quarter was slightly lower than that of the 2019 second quarter.
