Well, the US Green card is probably the most coveted of visas and residency programs. The most obvious advantage of a green card is the right to live, work, and invest in the USA. But, this is not all that a green card holder can do.

Getting a business visa to the USA or a Green Card allows Indians to visit up to 36 countries other than the USA. Thus, though a visa to the USA may not be easy to get, the effort is well worth it. Similarly, a business visa also allows Indians certain travel privileges.

Indians Visiting Other Countries With A US Visa

Indians holding a valid US visa of certain types can travel to up to 36 other countries without applying for a separate visa. This visit is subject to certain limitations in terms of the length of stay.

The UK allows for the shortest visits. Indians with a US visa can only stop in transit for a maximum duration of 24 hours. On the other hand, Canada and Mexico allow Indians with a US visa to stay for up to 180 days.

While countries like Mexico and Guatemala welcome Indians with a valid US visa. However, visa to visit other countries like Panama the visa must have been used at least once to enter the USA before traveling to Panama.

Irrespective of whether the individual holds a business visa to the USA or a green card, he or she may a visit only as a tourist.

Some countries like the UK and Singapore allow Indians with a US visa, visa-free visits only while they are in transit while others welcome Indian tourists as holiday goers.
