Why COVID-19 Testing Centers In India?
When it comes to infectious diseases like COVID-19, having an accurate number of people affected by the virus is essential. The only way to know these figures is through diagnostic testing.
Another reason why testing is crucial is that people suffering from COVID-19 may show very mild symptoms that can be misinterpreted as symptoms of the flu.
Thirdly, it is only through testing that doctors can provide proper treatment to patients with COVID-19.
For these reasons, diagnostic testing has been prioritized in India and across the rest of the world. In India, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), COVID-19 testing is being handled by more than 50 laboratories.
Some states like Maharashtra have multiple testing centers while others like Jammu and Kashmir have a single testing center.
