New Visa-Free & Easier Destinations for Indians in 2025–2026
1. Philippines — 14 to 30 Days Visa-Free (From May 2025)
The Philippines is the single biggest new visa-free win for Indian passport holders in 2025. From May 2025, a two-tier system applies:
- 14 days visa-free: All Indian passport holders can visit for tourism without any prior visa. Carry a passport valid for at least 6 months, proof of accommodation, return or onward ticket, and sufficient funds.
- 30 days visa-free: If you hold a valid visa or residency from the US, UK, Japan, Australia, Canada, Singapore, or any Schengen country, you get 30 days.
- Digital Nomad Visa (April 2025): Work remotely from the Philippines for up to 1 year (extendable by 1 more year). Must be 18+, employed by a non-Philippine company, and earn income from abroad.

2. UAE — 14-Day Visa-on-Arrival for All Indians (From June 2025)
The UAE rolled out its biggest change for Indian travellers in two phases:
- February 2025: Indians holding valid visas or residency from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, or South Korea became eligible for UAE VOA.
- June 2025: All Indian passport holders — regardless of any third-country visa — can now get a 14-day visa-on-arrival at any UAE airport. No advance application needed.

3. Palau — 30 Days Visa-Free
The island nation of Palau in the Pacific — known for its jellyfish lakes, coral reefs, and WWII dive sites — now allows Indian citizens to enter without a visa for up to 30 days. Connect via Manila, Singapore, Seoul, or Taipei. No direct flights from India yet, but easily reachable.
4. South Africa — Visa Issued in 3 Working Days (From February 2025)
South Africa launched its Trusted Tour Operator Scheme (TTOS) on 12 February 2025. Approved Indian tour operators file visa applications on your behalf and the visa is issued digitally within 3 working days — no embassy queues, no personal filing.

5. New Zealand — Remote Work Allowed on Visitor Visa (From January 2025)
From 27 January 2025, Indians on a standard New Zealand Visitor Visa can legally work remotely for a foreign employer for up to 90 days within a 6-month stay. No minimum income requirement. Self-employed professionals working with overseas clients also qualify. No new visa category needed.
6. Argentina — Visa-Free with a US, UK, or Schengen Visa
Indian passport holders who hold a valid US (B1/B2, J, or H-1B), UK, or Schengen visa can enter Argentina visa-free for up to 90 days. Great for multi-country South American itineraries if you already have a US or European visa.
7. Armenia — Temporary 180-Day Visa-Free Window (January–July 2026)
Until 1 July 2026, Indians holding valid residency from the US, EU, Schengen, or GCC can enter Armenia visa-free for up to 180 days. Act quickly — this is a time-limited measure.
